A cooler rug that doesn't fit doesn't help your horse — too small presses, too large slips. Chevaux Nature offers nine sizes from 75 to 165 cm, split into two lines: one for ponies, one for full-size horses. Here's how to find yours.
The size chart
Pony sizes: 75 cm · 85 cm · 95 cm · 105 cm · 115 cm
Full-size horses: 125 cm · 135 cm · 145 cm · 155 cm · 165 cm
Both lines differ only in size, not in material or workmanship. What's measured is the back length: from the highest point of the withers to the base of the tail. The full guide with every measurement — including a printable version — is in our Size Guide.
Have an Icelandic horse?
Icelandic horses usually stand between 132 and 142 cm at the withers — that typically means a cooler rug between 115 and 125 cm. Measuring is still the safest way: Icelandic horses are compact, and two horses with the same wither height can have different back lengths.
