We love fabrics made from natural fibers for their durability and their variety of unique properties.
woolwalk I 100% natural fiber
Pure wool is the shorn wool from a living sheep. It has a number of excellent properties that only natural fibers can offer. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating, dirt and water repellent, keeps pleasantly warm and is therefore a real all-rounder as a stable and transport blanket. Wool is also extremely easy to care for.
Creation process
After shearing, the wool is washed, combed, stretched and spun. After the wool yarn has been knitted into a loose fabric, the wool is "kneaded": The wool is pressed in warm water, moved and rubbed together. This causes the wool fabric to shrink by 20-60% and creates a solid structure with air pockets. These ensure the warming and temperature-balancing properties of fulled wool. Only clear water is used; no chemicals or other softeners are used.
Mission
Due to the temperature-balancing effect of wool, heat build-up is impossible, which is why wool is ideal for warming up before and sweating off after training and keeps warm during transport.
This means that the blanket can also be used in summer, for example in cool temperatures or after a long period of rain. Wool is also suitable for horses that tend to have muscle tension or get cold quickly .
Care
Easy to care for and washable; coarse dirt can be brushed out with a soft brush - unpleasant odors evaporate on their own. Due to the unique, self-cleaning properties of the natural fiber, one wash per year is sufficient with average use (cold wash, wool wash cycle). For optimal care, we recommend the CHVX*N care set. Alternatively, a conventional, moisturizing detergent can be used.
Felted fabrics are temperature regulating - hollow spaces in the fibre allow the ambient temperature to be trapped in the wool and keep you warm; in warm temperatures, wool dissipates the heat.
Felt fabrics are breathable. Due to the natural fibers, felt does not allow air and water to get in easily, but at the same time releases moisture well to the outside.
Felted fabrics regulate moisture - wool is hydrophobic, meaning it wicks moisture away well and dries quickly. Wool can also absorb up to 35% of its weight in water without feeling damp.
Felted fabrics have a high heat retention capacity - wool has the best heat retention capacity of all textile fibers. It keeps you warm even when it is wet.
Felt fabrics are water-repellent - the air cushions and wool fat (lanolin) give the felt a natural impregnation. Water drops simply roll off to a certain extent.
Felted fabrics are wind-resistant. The felting process causes the fibres to become matted together and, with the help of the air inclusion, form a natural barrier against the wind.
Woolen fabrics are antibacterial.
Fulled fabrics are resistant to dirt - the natural impregnation means that coarse dirt can be easily knocked off or brushed out.
Fulled fabrics are durable - the fulling process creates a solid surface that is extremely robust.
Felt fabrics are easy to care for and odor-neutralizing . Odors are not retained and can be neutralized by airing. In addition, the fibers are dirt-resistant and machine washable (cold wash).
Felted fabrics are flame retardant - wool is not as flammable as chemical fibres.
Due to the unique properties that only natural fibers have, wool felt is very durable and therefore extremely sustainable.
Wool felt is durable, biodegradable and free of microplastics.
Gerüche werden nicht gespeichert und können durch lüften neutralisiert werden.
Cotton I 100% natural fiber
Cotton has been used to make textiles for thousands of years and is particularly characterized by being kind to skin and fur and having a low allergy potential. Static charging is impossible. The raw material consists of the seed fibers of ripe cotton fruits, and the fiber hairs in turn consist of 95% cellulose. This makes cotton biodegradable, meaning it is less harmful to the environment than synthetic textiles. Cotton is easy to care for and washable (max. 30° with mild detergent on a gentle cycle).
Creation process
To produce cotton fabric, the cotton fibers are harvested, cleaned and gutted. The long cotton fibers are then sorted and pressed into bales. In the next step, spinning mills use the cotton bales to produce cotton yarn, from which the fabric is woven in the final step.
Mission
Thanks to its high resistance and tear resistance, cotton is ideal for use on horses and in stables. The natural fiber releases excess heat well to the outside, absorbs moisture extremely well, is breathable and does not have an insulating effect.
Cotton is therefore less warming than wool, for example, and is ideal as a light sweat or transport rug, even in summer.
Care
Cotton is hard-wearing, durable and easy to care for.
We recommend washing CHVX*N organic cotton blankets at max. 30° with mild detergent on a gentle cycle.
For optimum care, we recommend the CHVX*N care set.
Cotton does not build up static charge and is therefore particularly suitable for horses that are sensitive to static charge.
Compared to synthetic materials such as polyester, cotton is characterized by natural breathability .
Cotton fibers are anti-allergenic and very soft , which makes them very comfortable to wear.
Cotton is breathable and highly absorbent . Cotton can absorb up to 20% moisture without feeling damp. This gives cotton the ability to cool in summer and warm in winter.
Cotton fibers are robust and durable , which makes them ideal for use in the stable and on horses.
Pflegeleicht und waschbar (max. 30° mit Feinwaschmittel im Schonwaschgang). Für optimale Pflege empfehlen wir das CHVX*N Pflegeset.
Due to the unique properties that only natural fibers have, cotton is very durable and therefore extremely sustainable.
Cotton is durable, biodegradable and free of microplastics .
Merino wool I 100% natural fibre
In contrast to conventional wool, merino wool is obtained from merino sheep and is much finer and softer than ordinary new wool - it is also rarer. Merino wool also has many natural positive properties: it regulates temperature, is antibacterial and breathable. In addition, it neutralizes bad odors and quickly transports moisture away. This makes merino wool ideal for warming up, sweating off and for transport.
Creation process
Merino wool is shorn in large, continuous pieces. The wool fleece obtained is washed thoroughly and combed until the wool fibers lie next to each other. The individual fibers are then spun into yarn, which is subsequently woven.
Merino sheep are mainly kept in New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and South Africa for the purpose of wool production.
Mission
Merino wool is not only soft, light and breathable, but also odorless and temperature-regulating, which makes it ideal for sports and outdoor clothing. Merino wool is an excellent choice for horse rugs as it protects against the cold and wicks away moisture at the same time. Merino wool is particularly light, breathable and scratch-free - ideal for horses with sensitive skin and coats. Merino wool is an extremely valuable alternative to synthetic materials.
Care
Merino wool is very easy to care for and easy to wash. However, you should pay attention to this: We only recommend cold washing in the wool program with a wool detergent that does not contain enzymes. Some wool detergents contain the enzyme protease. This enzyme can break down the keratin contained in merino wool, which can lead to unsightly small holes after washing. We recommend PH-neutral mild or functional detergents or the CHVX*N care set and a regular Lanolin treatment.
Merino wool is super soft - due to the very fine fibers it offers a very pleasant feeling on the skin and is therefore particularly suitable for sensitive horses.
Merino wool is breathable. Due to the natural fibers, Merino wool does not allow air and water to penetrate easily, but at the same time releases moisture well to the outside.
Merino wool is antibacterial due to its natural lanolin.
Merino wool is moisture-regulating - wool is hydrophobic, so it releases moisture well and dries quickly. Wool can also absorb up to 35% of its own weight in water without feeling damp.
Wool has a high heat retention and the best warmth retention capacity of all textile fibers. It keeps you warm even when it is wet.
Merino wool is temperature regulating - hollow spaces in the fiber trap the ambient temperature in the wool and keep you warm; in warm temperatures the wool tries to dissipate the heat.
Merino wool is odour-neutralizing - odours are not stored and can be neutralized by airing.
Merino wool is wind-repellent.
